"Schizophrenic London"

I lived in London in 1978/9 and during the course of my stay shot thousands of photos. When the editors of Signpost heard I had this stock of images they used some to illustrate this article.

The Grand Union Canal in winter.

The Grand Union Canal in summer. This is almost the same shot as the winter one above. Please note that the shadow of a person with the classic "taking a vertical photo" pose is not me but a friend who was on the bridge taking a shot at the same time. I saw the shadow but didn't have time to say anything as I wanted the narrow boat right in the foreground.

The upper photo here shows the same house that appears at the left of the above two images. The lower photo is of a boy in Battersea Park, what was he wide eyed about, I'll never know, I was too busy taking photos.

A Pearly Queen in Trafalgar Square.

Pelicans in St James Park.
