#00048, Forms in Rock

This rock formation caught my eye immediately as I exited the trees into Granite Bay. The sun was well up and I thought I had finished photographing for the morning but decided to drop off the track and "see what's happening" in the bay.

There is a face in the rocks that is more or less obvious depending on how dark the image is printed. I also like the pool in the upper right corner and the way the shadow of the rock allows me to see below the water.

This is usually printed such that the curves of the rock and its shadow meet on the very edge of the print.
