#00128, Hidden Valley

I saw this as a panorama and planned to crop the image in the printing. I also thought that the movement in the trees was not helping.

However, when I produced the proof print (always full frame) I realised that the movement actually helped and no cropping was necessary.

This shot uses an orange filter which, to my mind, is about right for a typical sunlit sky.

I like way the sides of Mt Sturgess appear to be bared from the viewer by the vertical trees. In fact that's not far from the truth as between the trees and the cliffs is a swamp that would be very difficult to cross.

This shot is actually taken from my camp site (the rock in the lower right is one of the several conveniently placed to sit on), you could do a lot worse for a camp site.
