#00133, Dark Crossing

For the first several kilometres, the walk from Hidden Valley is a narrow trail through the forest; later it "degrades" to a vehicle trail, but for a while it's a magical, albeit hot, stroll.

This creek crossing (yes there's some water down there somewhere) is about half way along the forest, if you're dead keen you can reach the trail (black hole on upper right) by walking across the log but most people make their way up stream to an easier crossing.

There's always something mysterious about trails disappearing into the murky woods so, even tough I was fairly hot and bothered and disinclined to set up a 5x4 camera, I really liked the "darkness" of the scene and made the effort.
