#00176, Horizon Enigma

This photo is so titled because...well let me tell you how the image unfolds to my eyes.

As my gaze moves up the image I am following a stream; the stream widens into a delta; the delta becomes an ocean; the ocean has a horizon; and above that horizon I see a small section of sky.

The trouble with this scenario is that there is no horizon in this photo.

The line that looks like a horizon is in fact the edge of the beach, and the "sky" is the first metre or so of ocean.

I find this horizon to be elusive, obscure, enigmatic.

Therefore I call this image Horizon Enigma.
