#00269, Ledgerton
I had been invited to photograph a hundred-odd year old shearing shed at a property called "Ledgerton", near the farming community of Yass. I spent an hour or so just wandering around this shed, the ever-present smell of lanolin reminding me of my early days when we owned a sheep farm.
Eventually I decided on this composition. There was a heck of a brightness range so I reduced the developer time for the negative to control this. Another problem was the floor, it was very springy and any movement caused the tripod to wobble. I had to stand perfectly still for the duration of the three-minute exposure.
