#00403, Little & Large
With a full panoramic camera (ie. an aspect ratio of 3:1) it's difficult to find vertical subjects. However I find that the 6x12 format is wide enough to have that "panoramic" look, while still lending itself to vertical images.
I saw this shot the day before but the wind was so strong that large-format photography was out of the question. I returned the following day to find no wind, and perfectly still foliage.
I had to set the camera fairly low to the ground to separate the two trees. It's important with a shot like this to get that visual separation, if the trees merge things become confusing and the composition suffers.
