#00446, Elephant Rock and Stream

Apart from the extreme simplicity, the thing I liked about this scene was the dichotomy of the billion-year-old boulder, and the transient stream.

The area is known as Elephant Rocks, presumably because the rocks look like elephants. I have to say though that, with one exception, I didn't really see any pachyderm shapes in the boulders.

There were two seagulls drinking from the stream, and I hoped that they would register on the film during the three-minute exposure, but alas, they moved too much.
