This young boy was at a fair in Battersea park in London. He was obviously in awe of something but I didn't have time to find out what.

Normally I very strongly advise against photographing children and animals from an adult's eye level.

In this case however I felt that the higher viewpoint removed a distracting background and, as the child was looking up, gave an appropriate space for him to look into.

As is turned out this image was deep etched (cut out from the background) when used by Signpost magazine, so none of the above arguments mattered.
