#10450

With the rainforest reaching right down to the Donaldson River, I felt like I was in a scene from the 'Apocalypse Now' movie.

We'd been cruising the river in a dinghy, and passed this spot earlier on our way upstream. On our return I noticed this tree but didn't photograph it.

The scene must have weighed on my mind though, and a few minutes later I asked Craig (the boat owner) if we could return.

My initial subject was to be the bright-green tree that overhangs the river. On our return though I noticed that the backdrop also looked nice, so I made a wider photograph than originally intended.

It wasn't until scanning the negative that I really saw the nice collection of subtle greens in the other trees.
