At the end of Cape Huay is a collection of confusingly named islands, the Lanterns, the Candlestick and the Totem Pole. No-one I spoke to during the two days I was there knew which was which.

The Lanterns are the largest and furthest out, here we see the first one on the left with the last rays of sunlight illuminating the side.

The Candlestick is a huge tower rising straight out of the sea for 150 metres. That's the tall skinny one to the right of centre.

The Totem Pole is a slender 70-metre high column. It's a grade 27 climb and therefore scalable by only the best climbers. You can just see the top couple of metres of it in the bottom left of this photo, just to the left of the white water.

As a non-climber this is about the best view you can get of these features.
