#10758

At sunset always remember the saying, "It's never over 'till it's over".

All to often photographers pack up the instant the sun disappears, but it's good practice to wait, something nearly always happens.

In this case I'd been photographing the Lanterns (part of which can be seen here in shadow) until just after sunset. The sun went behind a cloud and that appeared to be that. I ignored the above advice, packed up, and headed back to camp.

When I turned around for one last look I saw that the sun had reappeared through a hole on the clouds and was illuminating the island.

With no time for tripods I steadied the camera and 200mm lens as best as possible and made two photos before the light went, this time for good.
