|Nature Photography by Rob Gray :: Image #00109|
I'm a real sucker for the appearance of wet rocks so, when I see them, I often photograph them.
This scene was quiet difficult to photograph because of the surrounding rocks and trees dangling over the camera. Also, I needed to get a low camera angle to bring the reflection more squarely onto the main slab, this required me to get a leg or two (mine and the tripod's) into the water, something I seldom enjoy.
Because of the grey sky, and the colour of the rock, the main reflection has stayed a steely grey which underlies the strength of the rock.
While I've never exhibited this image, in fact it's hardly seem the light of day, it is one of my favourites.
